Freddy's Spring Break Adventures

March 2014
Brayden came home with the 'class pet' Freddy the Frog to spend the entire spring break with us.  We aren't exactly the most exciting family during spring break nor am I good at keeping notes.  So I thought I would make it fun for Brayden and do a blog session full of pictures and random story/adventures for a stuffed froggy.

On Saturday we took freddy and Austen's Moose Marty to the aquarium.
Freddy got to see a lot of special animals and even found some classmates.

On Sunday we had a chill day, did some St. Patrick's day painting and went to the Cloverdale flea market.  And on Monday we did some St. Patty's day fun and met some friends at the park for some soccer time.

We have had a couple of chill days with not a lot of activity.
We will post more shortly so please check back.
And he is back!
Freddy made an appearance at a birthday party at the great escape.

We had more park time with friends and some walks. A treat at Tim Horton's and a trip to Chuck e cheese.

We also visited the Lonsdale quay (ball pit) a golfing day with daddy too.
And some family time with grandparents, aunt and uncle and lil cousin.

All in all we hope Freddy had a good visit this spring break with our family.

I know I may have over done the 'adventures' for a stuffed frog but its all in good fun for the kids...righ!? :-)

Smile! part 2

Soooo ok yes I know, I know it has been awhile since I have blogged anything.

Well I took a break and also didn't have much to report on this particular topic...until now.

Back in Dec and Jan I went in to a gum specialist and had special deep cleaning done, in prep for my first surgery. The cleaning itself wasn't too bad but it was the freezing I did not enjoy, especially when my lower gums were done I felt like I had THE fattest lip ever. But I survived and didn't have any major bitting or drooling issues. Phew as if I didn't already have enough worries with my mouth.

I have also had to get used to a new routine that I have not been used to doing and that is flossing and using a rubber tip to help firm up my gums and keep plaque away...so small and many of you may think that is nothing and laugh...thats ok...It has never been apart of my life growing up and so I have to make changes but it is so small incomparison to what lies ahead for changes.

While I was in last week to do a follow up visit my surgery date was booked....big deep breath...drum roll please..lol...ok not that big of a deal but every time I think of it now i get butterflies...the big date is March 31.  i will be going into the hospital and having a total of 8 teeth removed (4 of them wisdom) that really is a big deal for me and the beginning of a life changing experience.

Truth...I'm scared!...why? I really don't know my own answers.  The pain? My funny looking mouth will then have gaps in it? Things not being in my control? The boys and having to interupt others life for a few days (even tho they said it was fine) so my own issues there but still...I could go on but then I have to stop and think of the big long term picture.

It will likely be a long and painful week and I am certainly not looking forward to it but I look at a friends daughter who recently had a couple of teeth pulled and was running around with the kids hours later...granted she is young and didn't get anesthetics or as many teeth pulled but I look to her for inspiration ;)

I will be spending spring break prepping stocking up on food/meals for the family and arranging rides for school drop off and pick ups.  Also any suggestions on food for myself during recovery would be appreciated, soups and yougurts are already on my list but any others.... :)

*My apologies for grammer or spelling mistakes as I am posting from my phone*
